As part of the 14th edition of the International Tourism and Hospitality Fair of Ouagadougou (SITHO), the National Tourism Office of Burkina Faso (ONTB) has initiated an EDUC'TOUR in the Centre-South Region.
From November 24 to 27, 2024, about twenty journalists, communicators, tourists, and influencers from Niger, Mali, Argentina, and Burkina Faso are participating in this tourism excursion.
On the first day of this EDUC'TOUR, participants visited the royal court of Tiakané, known as the "Binger House," a remarkable architectural masterpiece located in Tiakané and classified as a national cultural heritage site. This labyrinth of 37 rooms with narrow doors, measuring between 50 and 80 centimeters, reflects the ingenuity of the local community in ancient times to protect themselves from invading threats.
The excursions within the EDUC'TOUR continue, and participants will have the opportunity to explore, during their stay, the Royal Court of Tiébélé, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2024, the Nazinga Ranch, the Nahouri Peak, and many other wonders of the region.
