As part of its strong commitment to promoting domestic tourism by empowering local actors in the sector’s development, Faso Tourisme inaugurated the Tourism Club at Naaba Baongo Provincial High School in Manga on Monday, December 16, 2024. Comprising nine (9) members, the club’s committee is tasked with promoting tourism practices within the school environment. At a time when inbound tourism has slowed down, Faso Tourisme is working to create networks in schools to boost domestic tourism. The installation ceremony featured a speech from the representative of the Director General of Faso Tourisme. Conveying the DG’s message, Mr. Gualbert T. OUEDRAOGO, Director of Tourist Sites and Infrastructure, stated that Faso Tourisme will support the club in its mission to promote tourism. Madam SOME L. Linda, Educational Advisor representing the principal of the high school, expressed satisfaction with her institution being chosen to host the club in the Central-South region. Gisèle KABRE, the newly appointed President of the club, affirmed her commitment, along with her team, to promoting tourism in Manga.
