The Karfiguéla waterfalls or Banfora waterfalls are a series of waterfalls along the Comoé river in the southwest of Burkina Faso. They are located about 12 km northwest of Banfora and are one of the most important tourist sites in Burkina Faso. The Cascades region takes its name from these waterfalls. In the heat of May, hearing the sound of water flowing in the distance is in itself a deliverance. A dozen natural baths and whirlpools filled with crystal-clear, ice-cold water await you.
The visit of the place is paying: 1000F CFA for foreigners and 500F CFA for national visitors. The only strict prohibition is to spend the night on the site.
