The visit, interesting and educational, will plunge you into one of the major arts of Burkina Faso: music and its instruments. Drum, balafon, bara, doumdoum, flute or harp-lute, collected from different ethnic groups in Burkina since 1993.
These instruments are accompanied by photos taken during their collection and illustrating them in their social and cultural context. The approach focuses on their role in village communication and their importance in the traditions of the different ethnic groups.
The visit is guided, well conducted, leaving room for observation, reading and questions. It ends with the projection of a DVD documentary (26 minutes) on the evolution of African music. In addition to an enriching visit, it is an opportunity to discover works on the music of the region. However, we regret the aging of the premises.
A visit to the museum allows one to meet the association and its charismatic leader, Urbain Kam, or his brother Armel Kam, manager of the site.
